Below are some common questions asked by many clients who are considering creating a website. If you still have any questions regarding the initial process please feel free to contact us.

Q: How much does a website cost?

A: There are three fees involved with setting up a website.

  • The first fee is for your domain name (www.yourname.com)

To simplify the process for you we register the domain name of your choice at Network Solutions. This fee currently is $75 for 3 years or $100 for 5 years and is paid by DroneWorks as part of your design fee and reserves your url (www.yourname.com).

  • The second fee is for web server space.

This is an account set up by us for you. Website hosting is an ever changing and competitive market. I can help you find the best hosting plan based on your needs. Generally hosting ranges from $8 - $20 per month depending upon the demands of you website's needs.

If you have any of the above already, I have only to design a site for you.

  • The third fee is the website design fee.

This is the fee you would pay DroneWorks directly. It covers the cost of designing the site, purchasing any software programs that will run on the site (news, calendars or similar programs you or your staff can update). I prefer to give each client a flat design fee for their site. This allows me to try different design ideas without charging you an hourly rate. I take many different factors into account when coming up with an estimate including business size, deadlines, scope of the project and non-profit factors.

Q: How long does it take to get my site created?

A: Generally it takes one week to get your domain name and server space set up. The design and creation of your site can take anywhere from two to five weeks. This timeline will vary depending upon the number of pages, images, graphics, sounds and other factors. Site construction can begin while the server/domain is being set up. Additionally, the amount and speed at which materials and information are supplied to the designer will accelerate the process.

Q: I don't have a lot of money to spend on a site, what can I do?

A: I can work with most any budget size. The most important goal is to get you on the web in a professional looking manner. No one stays at a poorly built site for very long. Even a single, well designed, page can get you noticed and project a professional established image. Once you start increasing your business I'm sure you'll be so satisfied with my work you will come back to expand your website as you grow.
